The KPF Director joined the 2026 Korean Architecture Symposium, “+82+82: From Independence to Acceleration,” to discuss how scale, public space, landscape, and urban connections shape enduring places and experiences in Seoul.
In his presentation “Seoul: Three Moments, One City,” Richard traced an evolving relationship between architecture and the city through three KPF projects: Lotte World Tower and Mall, completed a decade ago, Parkside Seoul, a new district underway today, and an ambitious future vision for the city that KPF is currently developing.
Organized by Korea GSD, a student organization at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the event on October 17, brought together architects, theorists, and researchers to examine contemporary architecture and urbanism in South Korea.
