The KPF Principal presents at CVU Hong Kong Chapter’s inaugural forum: Vertical Urbanism—New and Renew, bringing together tall building experts to consider the future of high-density urban environments.
Mustafa’s presentation draws on KPF’s experience designing tall and mixed-use buildings across Southeast Asia, considering the responsibility that comes with designing at height. While towers can become landmarks that define a skyline, their design must respond meaningfully to their context, culture, and the needs of the people who occupy them.
Through KPF’s work across the region, including Shenzhen Center and Lotte World Tower, Mustafa will explore how cultural references can shape a tower’s identity while maintaining its utility, and how height can create valuable, occupiable space in addition to constructing an architectural symbol.
