He has pioneered best management practices for innovative design and delivery methods on projects, and leveraged long-standing relationships with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver some of KPF’s most complex projects around the world. His work on Hudson Yards and the Mohegan Sun expansion unfolded over multiple phases, organizing large, multifaceted teams to deliver millions of square feet for each project.

A Cross-Disciplinary Leadership Approach

Lloyd’s approach fuses design with engineering and construction, emphasizing collaboration to develop creative, integrated solutions. He engages with both public and private stakeholders to realize some of the largest projects in the US and abroad. Lloyd’s expertise with specialized infrastructure projects can be seen through his comprehensive plan to update the largest and busiest bus terminal in the country, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and his ongoing management of Changi Airport Terminal 5, which expands Singapore’s airport capacity with an iconic and sustainable terminal building.

Industry Leadership

As one of KPF’s longest-tenured partners, Lloyd oversees the firm’s in-house technical education program as well as its peer review process. He is active in the ULI and the AIA nationally, REBNY and the NYBC in New York, and SPUR in San Francisco. He has led the AIANY’s TORCH Mentoring program, as well as the A.C.E. Mentorship program, which promotes opportunities for high school students in the A/E/C industry. In 2016, his alma mater, Penn State University, honored him with its Arts and Architecture Alumni Award.
