Wei Hu Moderates Façade Lab 20 at China Architectural Design Expo

The KPF Senior Associate Principal was an academic guest and moderator for a technical panel titled Curving the Future | Façade Lab 20 at CADE (China Architectural Design Expo).

Façade Lab 20, jointly hosted by BAU China International Building Technology Expo, CADE, and RFR Asia, is dedicated to advancing collaboration and technical innovation in the façade industry. As part of the much larger CADE event—which includes a wide range of sessions, panels, exhibitions, and forums—Façade Lab 20 brings together owners, designers, consultants, material suppliers, and contractors to share the latest trends, construction techniques, and façade system solutions. The event took place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from November 5–8.

As an academic guest and moderator, Wei Hu led a 30-minute technical discussion, beginning with a presentation on façade design considerations and practices, followed by a supplier’s technical response and an interactive Q&A session with industry experts. With nearly 17 years of experience in architecture—including over a decade at KPF—Wei is recognized for his expertise in technical design and façade engineering. Based in the firm’s Shanghai office, he has contributed to major projects such as Chongqing Central MixC, Lakeville 6, and North Bund Huamao.
