The milestone of Tower A1 at Lakeville 6, a 180-meter luxury residential tower in Shanghai’s Taipingqiao district, was marked with a ceremony celebrating the completion of 48 above-ground floors through the success of innovative construction methods.
Also known as Taipingqiao Lot 122, Lakeville 6 is thoughtfully designed to emphasize human-scale architecture, sustainable living, and wellness-driven design. The development features a diverse mix of residences, including single-family homes, townhouses, and stacked houses, as well as commercial buildings and a three-story basement. The urban plan, also by KPF, draws inspiration from the traditional lilong typology, characterized by interconnected narrow streets and intimate courtyards, while the façade and massing of the low-rise buildings pay tribute to the character of Xintiandi and the former Dong-Tai Road Antique Market. Surrounded by low-rise historic homes and retail pavilions, the project preserves 12 historic structures, creating a harmonious dialogue between the past and present.
Innovative construction methods, including intelligent equipment and advanced quality control systems, have set new standards for efficiency and safety. Every aspect of Lakeville 6 is crafted with wellness and sustainability in mind, from outdoor plazas and expansive terraces to integrated photovoltaic panels and grey water recycling systems. As the project advances to curtain wall installation and interior fit-out, Lakeville 6 is poised to set a new benchmark for human-centered luxury living in Shanghai.
