The KPF Global Director of Design Technology led a session at the “Beyond Human: Leveraging the Power of Intelligence” conference, hosted by AIA New York, ASLA New York, and APANY Metro at the Center for Architecture on September 19.
The event gathers leading voices in architecture, planning, and technology to explore how intelligent tools are transforming the built environment. Luc led the session “Decoding the Urban Ecosystem: Leveraging AI and Data,” and was joined by Anya Domlesky, Associate Principal & Director of Research at SWA; Anthony Townsend, Urbanist in Residence at Cornell Tech; and Jessica Lax, Senior Advisor for Responsible AI at the New Jersey Office of Innovation. Together, they discussed how artificial intelligence and data analytics are being harnessed to understand and enhance New York City’s landscape and share multidisciplinary approaches to building resilient and thriving urban communities.
As Global Director of Design Technology, Luc has pioneered data-driven methodologies and digital tools that unlock innovative design solutions for cities and communities worldwide. His work—including the award-winning Scout platform—demonstrates how technology can democratize decision-making and build consensus for complex urban projects. Luc’s participation in this groundbreaking forum advances the conversation on the real-world impact of AI in planning, design, and development.
