James von Klemperer Examines Evolving Business Districts Across Global Cities

In “Shanghai – New York: What makes the heart of a CBD?” the KPF President will explore how central business districts are shaped by local context and global perspectives.

On June 29, KPF President James von Klemperer will present “Shanghai – New York: What makes the heart of a CBD?”. The lecture will trace KPF’s Central Business District projects across the globe from Shanghai’s Plaza 66 and Jing An Kerry Centre, to One Vanderbilt and Hudson Yards in New York. Jamie’s presentation will cover the evolution of commercial office complexes into vibrant business districts that transform cities into hubs of cultural and commercial exchange.

The lecture will take place on June 29 at 2:30 PM at the Chinese Institute, 40 Rector Street, 2nd Floor, NY. It is part of a greater two-day program of Shanghai – New York Dialogue events from June 29-30 in New York City.
