Awarded in the Corporate Buildings category was Faria Lima Plaza, an office tower designed as two interlocking and mirroring forms in São Paulo, Brazil.

Awarded in the Schools and Universities category was NYU Shanghai, designed in a pinwheel arrangement of four buildings, and serving as a gateway between Chinese and international students.
