Daniel Dadoyan Presents 1325 West Fulton Street at Zak World of Facades Chicago

The KPF Director presented the design intent and process behind KPF’s Fulton Market residential tower at the façade conference in Chicago, highlighting the project’s thoughtful approach to urban transformation.

Daniel’s presentation, “1325 West Fulton Street: Translating Traditions,” explored the intersection of Fulton Market’s industrial heritage and its modern, consumer-oriented sidewalk culture. Once a dense meatpacking district built from fire-safe masonry, Fulton Market now thrives as a vibrant public realm shaped by changing demographics. Daniel detailed how KPF’s design for the red-brick residential tower bridges these eras, translating traditional architectural language into a contemporary context through refined details and advanced façade systems that reinvigorate the neighborhood’s streetscape.

Zak World of Facades is a traveling, one-day event that convenes architects, engineers, and industry leaders to discuss the design and engineering of building facades, particularly those relevant to the host city. The Chicago edition focused on projects that respond to the city’s evolving architectural landscape, offering a platform for dialogue about innovative solutions and local challenges.

The conference took place on September 17 at the Chicago Marriot on Magnificent Mile.
