Property Week Spotlights Shoreditch Works’ Sustainability Approach

The real estate publication recognizes Shoreditch Works as one of the capital’s most sustainable mixed-use schemes.

Shoreditch Works is a net-positive regeneration project situated in East London’s vibrant tech cluster, offering an ecosystem of low-cost workspaces, affordable residential units, retail, and cultural programming.

Interviewed in a recent piece in Property Week, KPF Director Chris Hill highlights the design’s preservation of heritage buildings, embodied carbon, and global resources, “creating a mix of scales, uses, activities, innovation and economic growth, and doing so with relevant social and community purpose”.

Shoreditch Works champions inclusive design, focused on social and economic benefits for the wider community, including 40,000 square feet of affordable workplace, 35% affordable housing, 48% retention of existing buildings, and circular economy principals to support its net-zero carbon commitment.

The development is targeting BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and NABERS UK 5-5.5 Stars.
