In an opinion piece for Architects’ Journal on London’s ability to meet development targets, Samuel Hughes praised “The excellent Shoreditch Works project by KPF.”
Highlighting the project’s conservation of heritage assets and the creation of new public space on a block close to Shoreditch High Street station, the feature also praises its approach to increasing density: “London has not always been well served by its high-rise architecture, and some of its tall buildings visually dominate the streets over which they rise. But the tall buildings of Shoreditch Works would rise up behind a strong street line like the towers of 1920s New York, adding a little drama to the streetscape without visually oppressing it.”
