KPF’s plans for the evolution for the former BHS store next to London’s Oxford Circus were detailed on the leading commercial real estate platform.
The retrofit and extension of a 1960s, 21-storey building will retain more than 50% of the existing floorspace and provide almost 1 million square feet. Plans for the development from Berkeley Estate Asset Management will support the evolution of the premier global shopping destination offering office and retail programs, and a flexible cultural hub.
John Bushell, Principal at KPF, said: “By combining world-class office space and retail with a dedicated cultural and creative hub, our plans will breathe new life into the site, offering a vibrant destination for global brands, businesses, and culture. It’s a bold step in reimagining this part of Oxford Street where culture, commerce, and community thrive together.
The plans are currently out for public consultation and a planning application will be submitted later this summer.
