Parkside Seoul’s Rosewood Hotel is THP’s Project of the Week

Top Hotel Projects, which monitors upcoming hospitality projects, featured the KPF-designed hotel for its wellness-oriented and ultra-luxury accomodations.

Situated in the Parkside Seoul development, the hotel “will highlight the famed Korean approach to health and wellness as a core concept” with features such as extensive spa facilities and direct access to the expansive Yongsan Park. With seven in-house restaurants and bars, as well as comprehensive wellness facilities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor golfing facility, and a children’s club, Rosewood Seoul will be among the largest hotels in the city.

The feature notes that KPF “has guided several of Rosewood’s most prolific projects across Asia, including Rosewood Hong Kong, Rosewood Bangkok, and Rosewood Guangzhou.” The KPF-designed Rosewood Hong Kong was ranked 3rd in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024, as well as 2024 Hotel of the Year by Tatler Asia.

A new mixed-use neighborhood for the South Korean capital, Parkside Seoul links various program types through a cohesive scale and palette that references local residential building types. The pixelated, accordion-like façade of the hotel begins with an organic, rustic pattern to the west that evolves into a rigid and geometric expression at the eastern end.
