The KPF-designed hotel tower has won the prestigious award after less than five years in operation, reflecting its elegant design and successful hospitality programming.
Tatler Asia praises the Rosewood Hong Kong for “balancing old-world elegance and service with offerings that are youthful and exciting,” referencing the classic, rectilinear façade as well as the luxurious amenities. The article highlights how 80 percent of the 322 guest rooms and 91 suites offer sweeping harbor and city views, immersing guests in the sights of Hong Kong directly from their rooms. The interior décor, by designer Tony Chi, incorporates local finishes such as lacquer and silk alongside elements such as checkered tiles.
Already an icon on Hong Kong’s skyline, the tower’s stepped, irregular massing emulates its multiple programmatic divisions—including hotel, full-service residences, and boutique office space—while maintaining a cohesive exterior identity. The tower is integrated into the Victoria Dockside arts and culture district at its base, the varied programming of which contributes to a lively public realm directly accessible from the hotel.
