On October 9, the KPF Principal will serve as a distinguished guest speaker at Cornell Tech’s Roosevelt Island campus, addressing executive students from the Cornell-Peking MMH/MBA Dual Degree Program.
Marianne’s lecture, scheduled from 9:00 to 10:00 AM and followed by a Q&A session, will be part of the New York immersion for the Cornell-Peking Master of Management in Hospitality/Master of Business Administration cohort, who split time between Shanghai, Ithaca, NY, and New York City. Drawing on her leadership in transformative projects such as the Lianzhou Building in Shenzhen and Hudson Yards in New York, Marianne will share her holistic, collaborative approach to architecture. She will discuss the importance of interpreting client intentions, responding to the specificity of place, and advancing sustainability through design while curating a desirable atmosphere.
The Cornell-Peking MMH/MBA Dual Degree Program brings together a selective cohort of executive professionals from diverse backgrounds, with a strong representation of women and graduates from top universities worldwide. The program’s U.S. residential session immerses students in a rigorous, bilingual curriculum, blending global perspectives with advanced management skills. Marianne’s presentation will encourage these accomplished students—many with backgrounds in management, engineering, finance, and hospitality—to embrace innovation and collaboration, emphasizing architecture’s potential to benefit people and communities in an increasingly complex world.
