KPF Hosts Students from the London School of Architecture

Students from the London School of Architecture’s outreach programme “Part 0” were invited to KPF’s London studio for an office tour and introduction to the firm’s architectural practices.

The KPF team, Samantha Cooke, Javier Roig, Yi Lu, Orseer Gbashah, Anna Mytcul, Guillermo Solana Vera, and Alaina Williams delivered a series of short presentations on the firm and their roles, highlighting some of our most successful and recognisable projects across London.

“The students from LSA were a fantastic group to work with, and we were so impressed with their enthusiasm, curiosity and creativity,” said Samantha Cooke, KPF Director. “We believe that more diverse voices are a necessity in the design of the built environment. If this group is anything to go by, the future looks bright!”

Throughout the session, students completed a site planning exercise that supports the course brief to create a market stall at London’s Dalston market. In groups, students examined the site’s access routes, high traffic areas, and areas of potential. This was followed by an interactive AI session and tutorial introducing students to emerging technologies and how they can be implemented for use in design and research.

The London School of Architecture’s Part 0 programme is aimed at students aged 13–19, providing a holistic and integrated approach to widening access to careers in the built environment for young people and career changers, emphasising green skills and removing economic, cultural, and social barriers to equity and diversity within the industry.
