KPF Celebrates Five Wins at the 2026 MIPIM Asia Awards

Five KPF projects across China and Taiwan have been named winners in the 2026 MIPIM Asia Awards, recognizing the firm’s work across mixed-use, retail, industrial, public realm, and sustainable development.

CPIC Xintiandi Commercial Center in Shanghai was recognized the Best Mixed-Use Project category. Integrating high-rise towers with pedestrian-focused retail, preserved historic buildings, public parks, and cultural facilities, the development extends the fabric of its historic neighborhood while creating new connections through the city.

Westlake 66 in Hangzhou received an award as a Best Retail Project. Situated between West Lake and the historic Grand Canal, the mixed-use development is conceived as a pedestrian greenway, bringing together retail, offices, hospitality, and public space within a landscape-led master plan.

In Taiwan, TCC DAKA Renewable Resource Recycling Center was recognized in the Best Industrial, Logistics and Data Centers Project. Combining a high-efficiency waste recovery facility with cultural, educational, and ecological programs, the project reimagines industrial architecture as a public-facing destination that connects industry with its surrounding landscape and community.

The Wave in Shenzhen received an award in the Best Social Impact and Infrastructure category. Located beside the KPF-designed China Resources Tower, the new public plaza draws on the ecology of Shenzhen Bay to create a place for gathering and respite through a sunken plaza, pavilion, and cascading water curtain.

Tower Urban Oasis in Taipei was recognized in the Best New Development category. Designed as a new model for sustainable urban development, the headquarters project brings nature into the workplace through cascading planted terraces, outdoor spaces, and a central landscaped courtyard, alongside strategies to reduce operational and embodied carbon.

The final ranking of winners will be announced at the MIPIM Asia Awards, taking place December 3, 2026, at Rosewood Hong Kong, a KPF-designed building. The MIPIM Asia Awards celebrate outstanding real estate projects across the Asia-Pacific region, recognizing developments for their innovation, sustainability, design quality, and contribution to their communities.
