The KPF Director discusses her career and role as Executive Co-Chair of ULI NEXT New York for the program’s newsletter series, “Getting to Know Who’s NEXT.”
“If there’s a pattern to my career, that’s it: I’d rather be uncomfortable and learning than comfortable and standing still,” Georgina tells Laura Woltanski, Director at Walker & Dunlop and fellow ULI NEXT member. The Q&A traces Georgina’s 18-year career across Barcelona, Tokyo, and New York, and some of the lessons she has learned from delivering 8 million square feet of work globally. At KPF, she has worked as Senior Technical Designer on the T. Rowe Price Headquarters in Baltimore and Project Manager on the Tisch Cancer Hospital in Manhattan, which she cites as her most career-defining project. Of her leadership role in the complex repositioning project, she says: “The harder skill is consensus: aligning clinicians, administrators, contractors, and consultants around decisions that each group experiences differently, in a building that never stops running. That’s the part I’ve gotten good at, and it’s what I want to keep building on.”
Alongside her work at KPF, Georgina is earning an Executive MBA at Columbia Business School, serves as a David Rockefeller Fellow with the Partnership for New York City, and is active in ULI NEXT—a ULI affinity group for mid-career professionals. She is the program’s Executive Co-Chair, sits on the ULI New York Management Committee, and co-hosted the inaugural ULI NEXT Northeast Corridor Meetup in May 2026. “Through NEXT I sit with developers, lenders, brokers, and public-sector leaders wrestling with the same problems from entirely different vantage points,” she says of the network. “Being surrounded by people in that same window, and getting to convene them, is the part I find genuinely energizing.”
