Four KPF Projects Recognized in the Shanghai Engineering and Design Excellence Awards

Two landmark developments, Greenland Bund Centre and Suzhou International Finance Square, were awarded first prize, while Embankment Square and Qiantan Center also received recognition.

As the new centerpiece of Shanghai’s West Bund district, Greenland Bund Centre merges diverse programs while preserving the human scale of its traditional urban vernacular. Suzhou IFS is a mixed-use development and a symbolic embodiment of the culture, history, and identity of Suzhou, one of the world’s fastest growing cities.

Second prize was awarded to Embankment Square, a robust set of eight office towers, which range in height from 40 to 100 meters, to accommodate diverse tenants, from large headquarters to smaller offices. Taking third prize, Qiantan Center, a 270-meter mixed-use development located on the bank of Shanghai’s Huangpu River, was designed as a focal point for this rapidly evolving area of Shanghai.

Earlier this year, five KPF projects were recognized in the Shenzhen Engineering and Design Excellence Awards (SEDA) Public Building category.
