Atlantis The Royal Named Finalist for Inaugural Michelin Design Award

KPF’s Atlantis The Royal in Dubai has been named a finalist for the first-ever Michelin Architecture & Design Award, recognizing its groundbreaking approach to luxury hospitality and innovative design.

The Michelin Guide has expanded its celebrated awards program to honor exceptional hotel design, and Atlantis The Royal stands out among the inaugural finalists. Designed by KPF as an architectural complement to the existing Atlantis The Palm, the 795-room resort redefines luxury on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah with six striking, interconnected towers. The design bridges artistic vision with function, featuring expansive terraces, shaded gardens, and interconnected pools that immerse guests in a unique environment. Signature elements such as the ‘Droplets’ sculpture in the lobby and aquatic-themed interiors throughout the suites reflect its unique waterfront setting, while the 22nd-floor infinity pool—one of the world’s highest—offers panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.

Atlantis The Royal’s selection as a Michelin Design Award finalist highlights KPF’s commitment to creating transformative guest experiences through innovative and high-performance design. As the Michelin Guide introduces its new Key system to recognize excellence in design, wellness, and sustainability, Atlantis The Royal’s inclusion among the top five global finalists underscores the Middle East’s growing influence in luxury hospitality and sets a new benchmark for the future of hotel design. The winner will be announced in Paris on October 8.
