The KPF-designed resort and residences in Dubai was featured in the March Tall Buildings issue, noting the 178-meter-tall structure’s luxury offerings and architectural feats.
Situating the project along Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s premiere vacation destination, the spotlight notes how KPF “remolded the logic of a tall building into a sinuous super-scale lattice that stretches more than a quarter mile in length.” The feature continues, “when taking in the sun grows old, the hotel features a full complement of amenities: over a dozen restaurants, high-end retail, and critter-filled aquariums.” Specifically, Atlantis The Royal includes 795 rooms and suites, in addition to 17 bars and restaurants, and dozens of pools, both communal and private, across its 43 stories. Since its opening last year, Atlantis the Royal received a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide and was named among the 50 best hotels in the world.
