The two KPF-designed projects were included in the organization’s inaugural AHEAD 100, a global roundup of the best hotels to have opened over the past year.
The list brings together the very best projects from the regional AHEAD award schemes held throughout the past year: AHEAD Asia, AHEAD Middle East and Africa, AHEAD The Americas, and AHEAD Europe.
Atlantis The Royal opened in February, following a Grand Reveal which welcomed more than 1,000 guests and featured a performance by Beyoncé,. The project includes 795 Rooms and 231 Residences across a stepped form that naturally separates the two programs. In addition to private pools and access to restaurants led by world-renowned chefs, guests enjoy interiors designed by G.A Design International, Sybille De Margerie, and Jeffrey Beers International. Earlier this year, it won three categories in the AHEAD MEA Awards.
Located within the Nanjing International Finance Centre, the Andaz Nanjing Hexi opened in the spring. Occupying a full tower in the 3-tower development, the hotel includes 362 rooms and panoramic views over the Yangtze River. With interiors designed by Avalon collective, guests can experience artistic expressions of local culture and landmarks. It was recognized in two categories at the AHEAD Asia Awards.
