The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation (BWAF) has recognized KPF Associate Principal Yafei Zhang for her contributions to the architecture community, which was presented at the annual benefit on April 3.
Yafei is recognized for her role as co-founder, along with her fellow honoree Miryam Varona of Gilsanz Murray and Steficek, of the New York City chapter of Women in BIM, a vital platform for advancing equity, innovation, and professional growth within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries.
The Bevy Leadership Awards, which includes the Emerging Leader Award, Academic Excellence Award, Innovative Executive Award, and more, seek to promote BWAF’s mission by elevating outstanding women leaders in the traditionally male-dominated AEC field. This year’s winners were honored at BWAF’s largest annual fundraising and networking event, the Bevy Leadership Awards Gala on April 3 from 6pm to 9pm, hosted at The Shed in Hudson Yards.
