The KPF Principal will serve on the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation’s 2025 Board of Trustees, helping the organization advance its mission to create a gender-equal building industry.
Celebrated architect Beverly Willis, FAIA, founded the BWAF in 2002 to ensure that women’s contributions to the building industry—past, present, and future—are acknowledged, cultivated, and valued. The foundation leads multiple leadership and educational programs that connect, support, and advocate for women in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
Claudia has been active in BWAF programming for several years. In 2023, she and fellow KPF Principal Marianne Kwok co-led a BWAF Friends tour of 30 Hudson Yards where they recounted the decades-long process of planning the neighborhood and designing its signature buildings, calling particular attention to the benefits of collaboration between architects, engineers, and developers.
In 2024, Claudia participated in BWAF’s Industry Leaders Roundtable event in Miami, Florida, which was organized around the theme of value-driven design and aimed to cultivate an exchange of ideas, research, and action-oriented programs to achieve greater representation of women in the AEC industries.
Claudia joins the board with Jen Grosso, AIA, Director of Architecture at Alloy Development; Michelle DeCarlo, PE, Associate Partner at Jaros, Baum & Bolles; Michelle Reolofs, PE, Associate Principal at Arup; Nicole Emmons, AIA, LEED AP, Partner at Hart Howerton; and Ruth Ro, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, BD+C, Principal at Dattner Architects.
