At KPF, Yafei has led the technical execution of major projects, including the Bund Fosun Center in Wuhan and the University of Michigan Center for Innovation. Her development of BIM-automation tools, now used firmwide, has helped KPF set new standards for efficiency and sustainability in project delivery.
Yafei’s influence extends beyond her project work. She regularly serves as a juror for international design awards and as a peer reviewer for leading professional and academic platforms, including the AIA Conference and the International Journal of Architectural Computing. Dedicated to expanding access to the architectural profession, she volunteers with various architecture workshops and youth education initiatives in China and the U.S., inspiring future designers through creative play and storytelling.
