64 University Place, 520 Fifth Avenue, and KPF’s New York Studio Renovation have each been recognized as category honorees at the awards ceremony on May 19.
Now in its tenth year, the NYCxDESIGN Awards, presented by Interior Design magazine, is a prestigious program celebrating significant design achievements in New York City and the greater Tri-State area. This year’s KPF-designed honorees reflect the character and texture of the city, exemplifying the creative excellence NYCxDESIGN aims to elevate.
An honoree in the Creative Office category, the renovation of KPF’s New York Studio is designed to represent and enable the firm’s mission to elevate cities through contextual, crafted, and high-performance design, showcasing KPF’s practice of architecture and enhancing the daily experience of colleagues and visitors. The soaring mixed-use tower at 520 Fifth Avenue, an honoree in the On The Boards category, integrates office, residential, and retail spaces, while contributing a striking new silhouette to Midtown’s famous skyline. Further downtown, and an honoree for the Building Façade award, 64 University Place brings a contemporary sensibility to Greenwich Village, blending seamlessly with its historic and uniquely Manhattan context.
