On July 26 the KPF Principal presented Hudson Yards as a case study at the Urban Land Institute’s China-based event “Designing Life: The Art of Architecture and Space.”
The Shanghai event explored “how cutting-edge architectural design and spatial planning can create vibrant and culturally resonant commercial and community spaces.” A panel of leading design and development executives shared personal trials and triumphs, culminating in a discussion on the profound impact of spatial design on lived experience.
With more than 20 years of design and management experience realizing urban regeneration projects, Rebecca brought her unique perspective on mega-scale architecture to the ULI event. Rebecca’s portfolio includes projects such as New Bund Square City and NYU Shanghai, priming her to present Hudson Yards, the mixed-use development on Manhattan’s West Side. Rebecca’s insights enhanced the conversation with current examples of placemaking in a dense downtown environment.
After a local project tour and accompanying presentation, Rebecca took the stage at 3:25pm CST at the Park Avenue Center. Find out more here.
