KPF Principal Jill Lerner spoke at the panel “Women in Urban” hosted by the Applied Urban Science Association (AUSA) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering as a part of their Career Series.
On March 25, Jill joined Becky Duane, Business Development Executive at IBM, Jennifer Pehr, Urban Strategist and Planner at The Stadtlander, and Dr. Kara Emery, Director of Data Science at NYU McSilver Institute. The panelists discussed how women leaders across design, development, policy, infrastructure, and governance are shaping urban outcomes in the face of climate change, housing pressures, equity challenges, and institutional constraints, focusing on systems thinking and real decision-making tradeoffs. A former president of AIA New York, Jill is actively involved in civic issues in New York City and is a strong advocate for sustainable architectural practice and policy.
The event took place on Wednesday, March 25 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at 370 Jay Street Room 1201, Brooklyn, NY.
