For King’s College London, fragmented data covering 8,000 rooms across multiple campuses was transformed into a single platform for estate-wide strategic planning. At Entrecampos in Lisbon, a bespoke pedestrian analysis tool informed design decisions to ensure the district was accessible to diverse demographics. One North Quay, set to become Europe’s tallest commercial laboratory building, unites every consultant within a single shared live model, cutting rework and setting a new benchmark for complex delivery. KPF furthers this commitment through KAI, its bespoke AI assistant, junior design fellowships, and annual Tech Week events.
The Architect of the Year Awards are Building Design’s annual celebration of the very best work being produced by practices today, recognizing firms for a body of work across specific sectors rather than a single building.
Winners will be revealed on 7 October at Convene Sancroft, St Paul’s, London.
