KPF-Designed Comcentre Redevelopment Breaks Ground in Singapore

A major milestone in high-tech and low-carbon design, Singtel and Lendlease began construction on the telecommunications company’s new AI-enabled headquarters.

The 20-building Comcentre Redevelopment will integrate advanced digital infrastructure, such as 5G+ network splicing technology and extensive AI robotics deployment. KPF’s design prioritizes sustainability and wellness, featuring energy-efficient technologies, extensive greenery, and passive cooling systems. The redevelopment aims to foster a vibrant community atmosphere with inviting public spaces and amenities, supporting Singtel’s vision for a greener future.

The Comcentre Redevelopment aims to achieve end-to-end carbon neutrality and is pursuing some of the world’s most rigorous sustainability credentials including Green Mark 2021 Platinum Zero Energy Certification (2nd edition), the International WELL Building Institute’s WELL v2 Core Platinum Certification, and the International Living Future Institute’s (ILFI) Zero Carbon Certification version 1.0.

As construction begins, the Comcentre Redevelopment stands as a significant milestone for Singapore’s urban landscape and the evolution of environmentally friendly design enabled by integrated technologies.
