Bringing together leaders from across the built environment, KPF 50: The Evolution of Urban Districts, will examine how cities can remain resilient, equitable, and engaging as they evolve.
Hosted at the NLA, the discussion will consider the role of long-term stewardship in shaping successful urban places, and how enduring districts develop over decades through investment, adaptation, and collaboration.
Moderated by Julie Steinberg, Financial Times, the panel will feature Ian Hawksworth, CEO, Shaftesbury Capital; Pranav Adani, Managing Director, Adani Enterprises; Katie Stewart, Executive Director for Environment, City of London; and KPF Principals James von Klemperer and Forth Bagley to explore how cities can respond to changing social, environmental, and economic needs.
Accompanying the symposium, an exhibition will explore KPF’s role in shaping districts in New York, London, and Shanghai, alongside current work in cities experiencing significant growth and transformation, including Mumbai, Riyadh, and Lisbon.
The event forms part of KPF’s 50th anniversary program, reflecting on five decades of practice while looking ahead to the next 50 years of urban development.
The symposium will take place at The London Centre, NLA on September 30, 6:15-8:15pm BST.
