The KPF President will deliver a lecture entitled “Public Space in High Density Centers” at the UNAM School of Architecture.
Jamie’s lecture explores how, by superimposing layers of space and mass, architects can multiply opportunities for circulation connections in dense urban conditions. By carefully coordinating new and existing parts of the city fabric, Jamie believes that designers can relate old and new in a coherent and harmonious way, while splicing multiple uses together within a single building creates a vibrant diversity of activity within what otherwise might be a single-purpose structure.
