The KPF Director joined industry leaders on the panel “From Surface to System: How Italian Ceramics Shape Contemporary Architecture”.
The talk looked beyond the surface of Italian ceramics, examining them as a driver of architectural language, material innovation, and sustainable design. From circularity to environmentally responsible construction, ceramics are shaping the evolving vocabulary of the built environment, bridging architectural thinking with material research in an industry where heritage, innovation, technical expertise and design culture continue to evolve.
The talk was chaired by Daniel Gava and Francesco was joined by Laura Marcheggiano of ARUP to discuss the role of ceramics in responsible construction practice.
