Florence Chan Delivers Keynote Lecture at RIBA Future Architects Forum

The KPF Principal kicked off the RIBA Future Architects Hong Kong mentorship program as the featured speaker and a participating mentor at the initiative’s Transition to Practice Forum.

Florence opened the event with a keynote address, sharing her perspective as a leader in the Asia-Pacific design sector and her experience as a RIBA-certified architect. Organized by the RIBA Hong Kong Chapter, this event was dedicated to supporting emerging architects as they move from academic study into professional practice. Florence’s participation as keynote speaker was a recognition of her ongoing leadership and influence in the region and within the architectural community.

Following her keynote, Florence joined a distinguished group of mentors in a series of group discussions, offering guidance and practical advice to the next generation of architects. The forum’s program featured panels on topics such as transition to practice, emerging architects and start-ups, further education, sustainability, conservation, smart cities, and technologies such as BIM and AI. Florence’s dual role as keynote speaker and mentor highlights her commitment to advancing the profession and nurturing future leaders in architecture.

The forum took place on September 5 at the Hong Kong Design Institute.
