The advisory role in this year’s global design competition reflects KPF’s commitment to design excellence.
Alex, Senior Associate Principal at KPF and former Secretary of the AIA International region, supported the jury as technical advisor for entry evaluations. Jurors included Barbara Bouza FAIA, Executive Director at Cannon Design; Brinda Somaya FAIA, Founder & Principal at Somaya Sampat; and Sophia Grudzys, AIA, President & Founder of SGLA International Architecture.
AIA Awards are judged against the Framework for Design Excellence, which represents the defining principles of design excellence in the 21st century. Comprised of 10 principles and accompanied by searching questions, the framework informs progress toward a zero-carbon, healthy, just, resilient, and equitable built environment.
