Three KPF Architects Contribute to “Where Architects Sleep”

Forth Bagley, Josh Chaiken, and Marianne Kwok shared their recommendations for hotels around the world in Phaidon’s recent publication.

The three designers were among a selection of the world’s leading architects asked to name their favorite hotels across various categories, with insider tips about renowned destinations and undiscovered gems. The guide aims to be the ideal travel resource for architects and design-conscious readers worldwide. Categories include favorite desert hotel, hotel you wish you’d designed, best kept secret, and more.

Bagley, Chaiken, and Kwok tapped their considerable experience with their own hospitality projects. Principal Forth Bagley has led projects such as the recently opened Rosewood Bangkok and WF Central, home to the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing in Beijing. Principal Josh Chaiken has designed Tokyo’s Otemachi Tower, home to the five-star Aman Hotel, and Shanghai’s Langham and Andaz Xintiandi, among others. Director Marianne Kwok was the lead designer of One Shenzhen Bay, which holds Shenzhen’s Raffles hotel.

The collection is edited by Sarah Miller, the former editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveller in the UK, India, and China and former European Editor of Travel + Leisure. The volume joins other Phaidon guidebook collections, such as Where Chefs Eat.
