KPF’s work on projects such as One Madison Avenue, an ambitious repositioning project that updates an existing, mid-century podium and adds a new tower above, delivering Class-A office space to the Flatiron District, and 245 Park Avenue, the modernization of one of the few buildings in New York to require its own zip code, has honed the firm’s approach to this emerging typology.
The Real Deal’s ranking of “NYC’s Top Architects for Alteration Projects” is informed by the number of permits issued by the New York City Department of Buildings as well as the total estimated cost of each firm’s design work in this typology.
