On October 23rd, the KPF Director guided viewers through the design of the hotel tower and shared how it fits into the larger KPF-designed waterfront development.
Situated on the Kowloon Peninsula overlooking Victoria Harbour, the Rosewood Hong Kong hotel anchors the Victoria Dockside development, which includes the K11 Musea, a cultural center with high-end retail, serviced apartments, restaurants, and offices. The hotel tower’s form is defined by a stepped and irregular massing with panoramic views of the city and harbour.
During the tour, Chan provided insight into the design journey for the hotel and KPF’s extensive collaborations with the Rosewood Hotel Group. The in-person tour was followed by a video featuring Alison Chi of Tonychi Studio, the hotel’s interior designer, discussing the use of American Hardwood within the project.
The event took place in person on October 23rd at 4 PM, and was hosted by AIA Hong Kong and sponsored by the American Hardwood Export Council. Learn more here.
