KPF has released the first renderings for the initial residential tower in a $1.5 billion mixed-use development at Exchange Place in Jersey City.
Designed for developer Esen, in partnership with shipping firm Evergreen, the first phase rises will include about 625 residences, replacing a surface parking lot with courtyard space and over an acre of new park land. KPF is leading design of the architecture, interiors, and amenities for the tower, working alongside Consigli-Noble as general contractor, Langan on civil and geotechnical engineering, Cosentini on MEP, and MPFP on landscape architecture.
The full development is expected to accommodate about 2,000 apartments across three towers, with construction on the first phase targeted to begin in 2027.
