Located across the Cumberland River in Nashville, the East Bank master plan will create a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood adjacent to the newly planned Titans stadium.
The plan establishes a pedestrian scaled enclave while accommodating population surges during game days or other large cultural events. Central to the plan is the extension of the John Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge which becomes a raised ribbon park lined with restaurants and retail. Named the Music City Mile, this linear park will weave and flow into the ground plane, helping to connect the waterfront with the public spaces around the stadium. The raised pathway terminates with a cascading amphitheater of steps that lead to the stadium’s south plaza. The steps themselves will serve as one of many landscaped pedestrian-scaled spaces, enhancing the overall walkability and intimacy of the district.
Composed of 7 parcels spread over 30 acres, the development includes stadium retail, entertainment infrastructure, food and beverage venues, cultural programming, office, hotel, and residential buildings. The plan incorporates public amenities, affordable housing, transportation connections, and a network of public spaces, all combined in a way that is unique to Nashville’s urban landscape. With Nashville City Planning’s guidance, the East Bank master plan introduces a development framework for an accessible, pedestrian-oriented, transit-integrated urban neighborhood with far-reaching and long-term implications for the city’s growth.
