The KPF Associate Principal and Designer were recognized by the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) for building community programming across the AEC sector.
As President of SARA’s NY Council, Tzara created SARA Socials to give architects, consultants, students, developers, brokers, and others across the industry a space to engage and connect with the community outside of the office. Tzara has organized monthly SARA Socials since launching the concept in November 2025.
In her two years as SARA’s Student Committee Chair, Katrina has expanded the organization’s reach across college campuses, launching SARA’s student chapter model at her school, NYIT, before growing it into Pratt Institute, City College of New York, UT Arlington, and the University of Maryland. The network now reaches over 900 students nationwide, offering office and site tours, meetings with architects, portfolio reviews, licensing Q&As, mock interviews, and networking events.
SARA’s Presidential Special Service Award recognizes dedicated service to the Society and its mission of “Architect Helping Architect.” Tzara and Katrina are being recognized for their contributions to SARA and their support of the architectural community.
The 2026 SARA National Design Awards was celebrated at the annual gala in New Haven, CT at The Hotel Marcel.
