Two KPF Projects Shortlisted for World Architecture Festival Awards

The TCC DAKA Renewable Resource Recycling Center (RRRC) has been shortlisted in the Production, Energy, and Logistics category, while Oriente Green Campus was recognized in Creative Reuse.

Located on Taiwan’s eastern coast, the TCC DAKA RRRC radically reimagines the role of industrial architecture in society. By wrapping a high-efficiency waste recovery facility in a sensitively designed nature and cultural center, the project demonstrates that industry can be transparent, beautiful, and genuinely beneficial.

As Lisbon grows into the “Silicon Valley of Europe,” Oriente Green Campus reimagines a derelict retail complex as a multi-building office campus. The three-story structure retains much of its original material, reducing embodied carbon, while incorporating strategic interventions to bring light, air, and nature into the building.

Both projects will be presented to an international panel of judges at the World Architecture Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this November.
