Two Iconic KPF Projects Shortlisted in the WAF Awards

Atlantis The Royal and Zayed International Airport, Terminal A were selected by an international panel of expert judges and will be presented at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Singapore this November.

Shortlisted in the Hotel & Leisure category, Atlantis The Royal is a luxury resort, spanning more than four million square feet. Its stepped form comprises an assemblage of stacked and shifted masses, creating a sinuous, permeable screen to provide an unrivalled experience and exceptional views.

Shortlisted in the Transport category, Zayed International Airport, Terminal A  is a civic landmark for the emirate and a gateway for the world, connecting East and West on a global scale. It delivers a seamless travel experience, while more than doubling the airport’s capacity, to up to 45 million passengers per year – with the ability to accommodate up to 80 million.

Since 2008, the WAF has brought together the global architecture community in cities around the world. Shortlisted projects will be judged live at the World Architecture Festival in Singapore this November. See the full list of shortlisted projects here.
