Atlantis The Royal and Zayed International Airport, Terminal A were selected by an international panel of expert judges and will be presented at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Singapore this November.
Shortlisted in the Hotel & Leisure category, Atlantis The Royal is a luxury resort, spanning more than four million square feet. Its stepped form comprises an assemblage of stacked and shifted masses, creating a sinuous, permeable screen to provide an unrivalled experience and exceptional views.
Shortlisted in the Transport category, Zayed International Airport, Terminal A is a civic landmark for the emirate and a gateway for the world, connecting East and West on a global scale. It delivers a seamless travel experience, while more than doubling the airport’s capacity, to up to 45 million passengers per year – with the ability to accommodate up to 80 million.
