KPF celebrates the recent topping out of the research, development, and logistics facility in Hangzhou, marking a major milestone for the firm’s fifth project with TP-Link.
Scheduled for completion in 2026, the facility continues KPF’s commitment to designing innovative workplaces tailored to TP-Link’s culture and operational needs. Drawing inspiration from Hangzhou’s historic courtyard typology, the building’s organization connects interior spaces to nature and landscape, with offset courtyards enabling cross-ventilation, integrating green roofs for resiliency, and encouraging movement throughout the site.
The façade is carefully tuned to provide shading, reduce glare, and allow natural airflow, while the building massing captures prevailing winds and daylight. Workspaces offer views both inward to the courtyards and outward toward White Horse Lake, reinforcing a strong sense of place. Sustainable features, including a rooftop photovoltaic array and lush rooftop gardens, further demonstrate TP-Link’s commitment to employee wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
Other KPF projects for TP-LINK include a recently completed workspace in Shenzhen, and an office and residential building slated to complete this year.
