TCC DAKA Renewable Resource Recycling Center won the General Excellence category and was a finalist in the Architectural Design category of Fast Company’s 2026 Innovation by Design Awards.
The project is a waste recovery facility on the coast of Hoping, Taiwan that converts regional waste into alternative fuels and raw materials for cement production, while housing a cultural center, ecological park, exhibition space and fern garden. The project addresses the shortcomings of local waste disposal and demonstrates cutting-edge building techniques, while educating the public about sustainable futures.
