CITIC Tower, Suzhou IFS, Robinson Tower, Rosewood Bangkok, Victoria Dockside, and Hudson Commons all received accolades across various categories.
Today, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) announced the Award of Excellence Winners for the CTBUH 2020 Awards Programs. Of the winners, KPF projects were recognized in five categories.
CITIC Tower and Suzhou IFS were honored in the Best Tall Building track, for projects 400 meters tall and above. Located at the core of Beijing’s new 30-hectare central business district, CITIC Tower is the tallest building and a new icon of the capital. Suzhou IFS is a landmark on the city’s skyline that incorporates a mix of programs.
In the same track, Robinson Tower and Rosewood Bangkok were both recognized for projects ranging from 100-199 meters in height. Robinson Tower synthesizes the unique conditions of its site, creating a signature boutique retail and office structure in Singapore. Located in Bangkok’s prime central business district, Rosewood Bangkok is inspired by the graceful hand movement of the wai—the simple and elegant Thai gesture of greeting and welcome. Rosewood Bangkok also received the Interior Space award.
Victoria Dockside, the redeveloped art and design district located at the tip of Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, received the Urban Habitat Award – Single Site Scale. The project also was recognized with the MEP Engineering Award. Hudson Commons, a repositioned office tower located at the gateway to the Hudson Yards submarket, earned the Renovation Award.
