Madeleine Metawati Eggers Presents at Society of Façade Engineering North America Forum

On April 25, the KPF Computational Design Specialist will present case studies on computational problem solving at the Façades x Innovation event.

In her presentation, Maddy will share two case studies where the Design Technology team used computational problem solving in façade design. Located in vastly different environments— one in China and the other in Miami, Florida—both projects utilized a tool to right-size façade panels and determine a geometry that is possible to fabricate, saving hours of designers’ time and ensuring an efficient and buildable solution.

Each of the presenters will showcase their topic ahead of a panel discussion on forthcoming technological advances that have propelled the discipline of façade engineering, followed by a Q&A session. Maddy will be joined by Ben Martinson, Associate Technical Architect at Buro Happold, and Ilkay Can-Standard, Founder of GENx Design and Technology. Luca Frattari, Global VP at Altair, will moderate the panel.

The Society of Façade Engineering North America was formed in 2004 to bring together professionals in a forum to advance knowledge and practice in façade engineering. The event will be held on April 25 from 5 to 8 pm at the Brickworks Design Studio, 445 5th Avenue in New York. Register for the free event here.
