The KPF Principal shared insight from his decades-long career journey and offered advice to attendees.
The panel of industry leaders shared their career stories and discussed the variety of professional possibilities, as well as what they love about working in the field. Lloyd was joined by a group of other prominent AIA Fellows, including Victor Body-Lawson, Principal, Body Lawson Associates Architects and Planners; Margaret M. Carney, University Architect at Cornell University; Nicole Dosso, Vice President for Design & Construction at Vornado Realty Trust; and Kim Yao, Principal at the Architecture Research Office. The panel was moderated by Edgar Pantelejevas, AIA, Senior Associate at Major Architecture. Following the talk, attendees and panelists had time for conversations and networking.
Since joining KPF in 1988, Lloyd has leveraged long-standing relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver some of KPF’s most complex projects around the world. Lloyd has particular expertise steering projects through the approvals process in high-demand locations such as New York, Boston, and San Francisco, among others. In addition to the AIANY’s TORCH Mentoring program, he has led KPF’s involvement in the ACE Mentorship program, which promotes opportunities for high school students in the A/E/C industry.
