Laura King Discusses the Future Vision for Canary Wharf at LREF

On September 25, the KPF Director joined a panel at the London Real Estate Forum to explore the transformation of Canary Wharf from a global financial centre to a world class district.

The panel will discuss the future vision for the estate, including two landmark buildings that exemplify the evolution of the district. KPF-designed One North Quay, is Europe’s Largest and most technologically advanced commercial laboratory building. Designed for flexibility and cross discipline collaboration, One North Quay will anchor an innovation district at Canary Wharf. KPF were also recently announced as the architects for the transformation of  8 Canada Square, from an outdated office tower into a highly sustainable, mixed-use building that will include best-in-class workspaces, leisure, entertainment, education, and cultural attractions.

As Project Director on both developments, Laura plays a critical role in KPF’s contribution to the evolution of Canary Wharf. Joining Laura on the panel are Tom Venner, Canary Wharf Groups’ Chief Development Officer; James Sheppard, International Head of Asset Management at Kadans Science Partner; Prof Sadie Morgan ODE, Senior Advisor at the NLA, Tim Ruthven, Director of External Engagement at UCL and, Glenn Howells, Partner at Howells.
