On April 11th, the KPF Principal spoke at “Healthcare Hits the Reset Button” in New York City about the firm’s work on the hospital transformation.
The session, titled “Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Hospital – A Repositioning Story,” provided insight into the process of converting the 1960s hospital building into a state-of-the-art treatment center. The site is located within Mount Sinai’s campus on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and as a busy academic medical center, it often runs at a medical-surgical occupancy in excess of 95%. Jill spoke to the design and transformation of the hospital, its unique location, and the challenges of continuing to provide care during its renovation.
